Irerobot – Sensory Technologies and the Future: Chief Scientist Meets IREROBOT Innovators

This week, I had the pleasure of visiting IREROBOT, a Cypriot company at the forefront of human experience innovation through sensory technologies and robotics. Dr. Evagoras Xydas, the CEO, and his team warmly welcomed me and shared their journey and innovative work.

Founded in 2017, IREROBOT has secured nearly €1 million in funding, including a recent investment from Kinisis Ventures in 2022. Their proprietary technology and algorithms form the foundation for a diverse range of devices, from assistive technologies to cutting-edge wearables and haptic interfaces designed to enhance virtual and mixed reality experiences. Dr Xydas provided a tour around IREROBOT Premises showcasing how the devises are modeled and designed, and thus showcasing the actual solution with programs written in C# and C, demonstrating the versatility of the solution in providing real sensing at different objects.

What truly pick my curiosity was IREROBOT’s approach to exploring new technologies and methods. During our discussions, we analyzed how they leverage AI and machine learning to push the boundaries of sensory experiences and improve human interaction in both the physical and digital realms. Furthermore, I emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships and commercialization efforts to fuel their growth and sustainability, aligning perfectly with Cyprus’s national vision of becoming a global leader in research, development, and technology.

IREROBOT’s ambitious projects showcase their dedication and customer experience to innovation. Dr. Xydas explained how everything is modeled around customer experience and how the key to success is understanding customer pain and building products to solve the need. The ACETT device, for example, uses touch to enable a revolutionary listening experience, poised to transform the landscape of assistive technologies. Similarly, the BE-PRO exoskeleton aims to revolutionize workplace ergonomics and safety by reducing fatigue during occupational tasks.

Dr. Xydas was also persistent in describing some of the challenges they experienced as product innovators, advocating for addressing different conflicts faced by product innovation companies.

With their unwavering commitment to innovation and expansion, I have no doubt that IREROBOT will make a significant and lasting impact on the global tech scene. Thank you, IREROBOT, for the insightful discussions and your warm hospitality.
